The Early Learning Center Kindergarten is now in session!
The Early Learning Center at the EVJCC, which has provided high-quality education and care in a safe, nurturing environment since 1971, is now accepting applications for the new ELC Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year.
Kindergarten is one of the first major steps in helping students become independent and lifelong learners and we are here to guide them on their journey!
A note to parents from kindergarten teacher Tori Sheppard:
Very soon your child will complete one of the most important milestones of his or her life – the first day of kindergarten! I am looking forward to working with you and your children this year and helping them achieve their full potential. Our days and weeks will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow. We are so excited you will be part of our school family this year!
I would like to introduce myself; my name is Mrs. Sheppard and I am delighted to be your child’s teacher this year at the East Valley JCC. I have been working with children for over 10 years now. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from Northern Arizona University and am licensed in Structured English Immersion.
I believe that a good parent-teacher relationship is necessary for maximum school success.
Throughout the year, I will communicate with you through the JCC Early Childhood App, notes, telephone calls, e-mails, report cards, and parent teacher conferences. You are welcome to visit our classroom at any time. I can always use an extra pair of hands and another smiling face in the classroom!
I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your child!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sheppard
