Emissaries in Uniform
Wednesday, April 30

The Jewish Agency for Israel, in partnership with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), presents Shlichim B’Madim (Emissaries in Uniform), a unique initiative that offers an exceptional opportunity to deepen connections to Israel and strengthen Jewish identity by hosting IDF soldiers as Israeli emissaries in uniform. Two IDF soldiers will share their personal stories of serving in the IDF and be available to answer questions during this program, coordinated by the East Valley JCC in partnership with the Center for Jewish Philanthropy.

The time and location will be shared with those who register at a later date.

Lone Soldiers are courageous and dedicated young Jews from all around the world who volunteer to serve in the Israel Defense Forces. Without families in Israel, some soldiers may suffer from loneliness, especially when they have time off from their extremely demanding military duty and on Shabbat and holidays.

LSP shows appreciation for their commitment by supporting Lone Soldier Centers that serve as their home away from home. Projects include a Hanukkah Greeting Campaign, knitting hats for soldiers and raising funds for Shabbat and holiday meals.
