Four ways you can help support Israel
Israel in Need Campaign
Provide emergency funds to affected individuals, families and communities
The East Valley JCC has been actively involved in reaching communities in need and distributing funds where needed.
Machane Shura
Provide resources to members of the IDF’s Casualty Treatment Unit and their families
The brave men and women of the IDF’s Casualty Treatment Unit, Machane Shura, are tasked with preserving the dignity of the dead. Your support assists in the well-being of this unit, giving them the necessary rest, recovery, and tools they need to work through the pain and trauma of their roles to process and heal at a therapeutic training retreat.
Lone Soldier Project
Support lone soldiers serving in the IDF.
The East Valley JCC’s Lone Soldier Project raises funds to provide support for lone soldiers serving in the Israel Defense Forces. The funds will go toward providing Shabbat and holiday meals at lone soldier centers in Israel, as well as provide supplies to make knitted hats that help keep the soldiers warm during cold nights on duty. You can also send Hanukkah message directly to soldiers through the Hanukkah Greeting Campaign.
‘Oct. 7 War’ book
Helping IDF soldiers and their families recover and rebuild
A visual record for future generations, “Oct 7 War,” by photographer Ziv Koren, showcases the pain, heartbreak, and suffering, but also the strength, survival, and bravery of our people. With a $100 donation to the Israel in Need Campaign, you have the option to receive a free copy of this book. Proceeds support the Machane Shura Unit of the IDF, which provides essential resources, rehabilitation and support to Israeli soldiers and their families.
