The EVJCC’s Early Learning Center has opened a new art room, a project funded in part by a grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix Youth Philanthropy Board.
“Art is a medium that can help strengthen a child’s view of the world,” says Pam Morris, ELC director.
“It helps their imagination, their creativity and can provide a strong basis as they continue their journey in learning math, science, reading and writing. Providing opportunities to explore their artistic abilities helps them connect to the world around them.”
The art room is stocked with art supplies, easels and art education materials and provides a dedicated space within the school for special projects, in addition to the art projects the children do in their classrooms.
