The Center for Holocaust Education of the East Valley JCC has an exclusive partnership with Dr. Jerzy Wojcik, creator of the Auschwitz Virtual Tour Project, to embark on a Holocaust education program that brings people on a live virtual tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. The tour of the death camp includes historical footage, aerial pictures, drone recordings and testimonies of survivors to teach people throughout the world about the horrors that happened there. This is the closest and most realistic opportunity that anyone will have to learn about the true tragedy of Auschwitz.
The EVJCC is hosting two tours on April 8 in commemoration of Yom Hashoah. The two-hour tour is live from Poland and led by a professional guide. Limited space is available; registration will be capped at 35 per tour to allow for discussion and Q&A. Cost is $30 per device.
