The “star” of the show is Mary Coulter who was the Chief Architect for the Santa Fe Railroad. This unique Architect created memorable buildings, which have enchanted tourists to the Grand Canyon for over one hundred years. We also look at some memorable works from four artists who conveyed their own unique and deep understanding of the great work of nature.
Patrick is a recently retired architect. He’s had a lifelong interest in Art and Architectural History so volunteering as a docent for Phoenix Art Museum is a satisfying way to continue learning about art and passing something along to others. This talk is special to him because as an architect he has admired Mary Coulter’s architecture for many years; and as a frequent visitor and hiker at Grand Canyo,n he can never see too many beautiful images of the great gorge.
