A group of artists called the Impressionists began painting during the vast rebuilding of Paris. They wanted to show the actual urban conditions in Parisfrom 1854 to 1927. While the fine arts of the time concentrated on portraits of the wealthy, these artists focused on true-to-life scenes in the changing streets of Paris. You will be introduced to six prominent artists who shared not only their friendship but also their desire to show the transformation of Paris through their art.
