Tuesdays, 10-11:30 a.m. at the East Valley JCC
Tuesdays at the J is a group for individuals and couples ages 55-plus who meet weekly to enjoy presentations on a variety of topics. Past programs have included live musical performances by local musicians and art presentations by museum docents and artists, as well as presentations by authors and more. All sessions are free and no membership is required. Registration is required. Register below.
March 14: Through the Lens of Edward Steichen
Presented by Phoenix Art Museum docent Brooks Hozier
Join us as we explore the early stages of photography as an art form by looking
through the lens of Edward Steichen, who was both an innovator and a master
of photographic technology. Steichen’s career spanned more than eight
decades in the 20th century, and his portfolio was incredibly diverse, ranging
from fashion and celebrity portraits to still lifes and recording the American
soldier in World War II.
