Phyllis Avalon Rosh, Ph.D., a frequent speaker at the East Valley JCC’s Terrific Tuesdays program, is headed to Ajijic, Mexico, this summer to volunteer in an orphanage.
She is collecting school supplies for the approximately 50 children who live in the orphanage.
While in Mexico, she and her husband will help test the children’s academic skills and provide counseling.
Phyllis has taught public school for more than 30 years and was a director of ESL for Tempe public schools. She has a private practice as a counselor and life coach, speaks eight languages and has traveled around the world several times.
